Johnny Breen

Johnny graduated from the University of Warwick in 2015 and spent the next year in Beijing refining his skills in Mandarin Chinese. He then completed an MSc in Applied Mathematics at the London School of Economics in 2017 and began his career as an actuarial consultant during that same year.

During his time in industry, he served as the technical engineering lead of Tokio Marine Kiln’s Portfolio Optimisation Platform via the use of open source tooling in Python & R, before leading the migration of pricing models in hx Renew at Canopius Group.

When he’s not at work, Johnny enjoys learning Chinese, playing his piano, and baking.
