Gary Heslop

Gary’s actuarial career started in a pensions consultancy where two years of calculating individual transfer values were enough to seemingly send him out of the profession and back to Birmingham University where he eventually graduated with a PhD in Statistics. He subsequently joined an actuarial outsourcing company, where he met the other APR partners, and his work included responsibility for all end-user software, a stint as Head of Quality Assurance, and ownership of business lines including actuarial placements. Gary is a qualified actuary and he is primarily responsible for the Operations & Client Delivery business area at APR, encompassing the recruitment, training and management of our actuarial staff and the key functions underpinning our services, ensuring we continue to exceed client expectations.
