September 2022 Exam Results
We were delighted to receive September’s IFoA exam results, which were another outstanding set of results for APR. Our staff passed 35 out of the 40 exams they sat, giving an overall pass rate of 87.5%. This was just over double the industry-wide pass rate across all exams of 43.7%.
It was also a return to form for our CAA results after a tricky May sitting with 7 passes from 10 exams in the October sitting, this is significantly higher than the industry-wide pass rate across modules 1-5 of 43%.
Looking at the results for individual FIA exams, APR staff achieved a 100% pass rate across 13 different subjects, including a clean sweep of all core principles exams (CS, CM, CB). We also had a strong performance across Specialist Advanced exams with 3 passes out of 4 sittings compared to an average pass rate of just over 30% industry-wide.

Highlights
Congratulations to all our staff on their hard-earned results! However, special mention goes to:
- Martyna Czapiga, Ellen Weise and Will Wright, who become qualified CAAs after passing their final exam. This is all the more impressive given that the overall pass rate for this exam was only 26%.
- Imelda Barnes and Hannah Merriman who have both passed the final exam required to become fellows of the IFoA.
- All three CS2 sitters; Sunil Ghosh, James Matthew and Thomas Pycroft for passing in a sitting with a very low pass rate of just 20%.
