Sessional Research Event: Actuarial Methods - are we serving the public interest (Edinburgh) @ Royal College of Physicians | Scotland | United Kingdom

The Work and Pensions Committee has launched an inquiry into the recently issued White Paper ‘Protecting defined benefit pension schemes’, published on 19 March 2018. One question posed by the Committee is “What should “prudent” and “appropriate” scheme funding mean?”  A panel will debate the above, current actuarial funding methodology and its suitability across the spectrum of UK pension schemes.

Monday 21st May. 17:00 – 19:00 (17:30 start), Royal College of Physicians, 9 Queen Street, Edinburgh.

Free event – register via IFoA website: https://www.actuaries.org.uk/learn-develop/attend-event/sessional-research-event-actuarial-methods-are-we-serving-public-interest.
