APR 2025 Charity Recap
Last year was a great year for APR charity involvement, we continue to support charities that are important to our staff and it has been insightful learning about the charities, the work they do and just how important donations are to them.
Lots of staff got involved with Give As You Earn (GAYE) which means staff and APR donate to their personal charity account on pay day – funds can then be allocated from personal accounts to individuals chosen charities at any time.

In May we held our Spring Charity event for Borders Forest Trust – encouraging our teams across the business to get out into nature and really see and enjoy the beauty of open spaces around us. Of course this included our annual sports challenges and allowed us to acknowledge Mental Health Awareness week and the links between activity, nature and serenity.

Throughout the summer, staff from Edinburgh and London got physical and filthy taking part in various Pretty Muddy events for Race for Life – Cancer Research.
The year drew to a close with the Christmas gift/toy drive and Edinburgh team completing a walking challenge to raise funds for Cash for Kids Mission Christmas – ensuring that every child across the region (Edinburgh, Lothians, Falkirk and Fife) wakes up to a gift on Christmas morning.

Members of the team also became Santa’s Little Helpers heading to Mission Christmas HQ to support the massive operation of sorting donations and fulfilling applications.
It is fantastic to see our teams across the UK and Ireland getting involved and connecting with local charities and charities that are important to them, our year has not finished yet though – our upcoming charity day promises to raise awareness, crucial funds, competition and challenge to APR….before we start all over again for 26/27.
